Just friends being friends

WHILE I WOULD NEVER BEGRUDGE A "SPECIAL NEEDS" CHILD, THESE PEOPLE ARE DOING THIS TO MAKE THEMSELVES AND THEIR FRIENDS AT THE BOARD OF ED,  FELICIAN AND THE BOYS CLUB LOOK GOOD, AT THE EXPENSE OF THE LODI TAXPAYERS.

"The special-needs playground has been lobbied for by Councilman Vincent Martin, who said the area is wasted space.

"It's a blighted area now and a waste of space. The only negative is that it is a flood area, and we are aware of that," Martin said."

" "It's not an area that floods regularly, but if there is a major storm like Sandy, a lot of that area becomes affected. We will have to take that into consideration while designing it," said Borough Manager Vincent Caruso." "

"The district's Child Study Team serves more than 500 special-education students. Felician University in Lodi also runs a specials-needs program and rents space from the Boys & Girls Club near the proposed location, Martin said.

IS THERE A CONNECTION HERE ?

"The existing administration building at 8 Hunter St. — a former elementary school — currently houses 24 employees, the school board offices, the superintendent's office and the district's child study team."

SO WHY ARE THESE "CHOSEN" FEW PUSHING FOR A YET ANOTHER PARK.
Emil Carafa:  Adjunct Prof. Felician College
Laura Hendricks-Schmidig-Cima: Assistant Professor at Felician College
Vincent Martin: Member of the Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lodi/Hackensack
Former Lodi Board of Education Trustee
Patricia Ann Caso Licata: Wilson Elementary School Teacher
(Going to do what Boss Emil wants, and help out her son who is director at the Boys  Club)

AND OF COURSE THE PARK WOULD BE SO CONVENIENTLY CLOSE TO BOTH THE BOYS CLUB & THE BOARD OF ED BUILDING.

THE TAXPAYERS OF LODI HAVE "DONATED" SO MUCH TO BOTH FELICIAN & BOYS CLUB, MAYBE THEY SHOULD SPEND SOME MONEY FOR A CHANGE, YOU KNOW, GIVE BACK TO THE TAXPAYERS FOR ONCE. THEN USE IT AS THEIR USUAL TAX "WRITE-OFF".

NO THOUGHT WAS GIVEN TO THE FLOODING OF THE BRAND NEW VOTO TEDESCO FIELD AT  THE END OF CHESTNUT & RICHMOND STREETS EITHER.

AND WHY CAN'T ANNA BELLI GIVE UP SOME SPACE FROM ONE OF HER "MONEY MAKING" FIELDS FOR THIS PARK?
