The property address mentioned in the above articles is owned by one Kimberly Chamberlain Perrelli out of Saddle Brook, NJ. Kim was a Police Officer with Saddle Brook Police Department, her mother Karen is a former Mayor of Saddle Brook. Kim is the second wife of Lodi Police Department Det./Sergeant – Narcotics Supervisor Christopher Perrelli. Chris also runs the business of Lodi Volunteer Ambulance & Rescue Squad, INC.

Initially the property was owned by Christopher Perrelli and his first wife, Paula DiMaggio-Perrelli-Caruso. Paula is now married to former Lodi Police Chief, currently, Lodi's Borough Manager Vincent J. Caruso.

Back in the day…..

"Chamberlain, 29, is suspected of giving the information to her boyfriend,
Lodi Police Officer Christopher Perrelli, while she was on a special
assignment with the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Narcotics Task Squad
in March 1998.

Although charges expose Perrelli to criminal penalties, the complaints
against her are administrative and relate only to personnel matters.

Perrelli was indicted in 1998 on corruption charges, which a Superior Court
judge dismissed last year, but has new charges of official misconduct
pending against him.

The case against Perrelli centers on his alleged relationship with the
owner of East Coast Body Builders, a Lodi gym that has been part of a
wider, ongoing probe of police corruption.

Perrelli was indicted in February 1999 on charges of official misconduct,
conspiracy to possess a controlled dangerous substance, and warning the
target of a federal fraud investigation that his phones were being tapped."

In 2013….an excellent article by Jerry DeMarco of the Cliffview Pilot & DailyVoice.

http://hackensack.dailyvoice.com/police-fire/saddle-brook-mayor-versus-police-chief-the-view-from-here/633275/

A quote from the article.

"In 2003, D’Arminio terminated Chamberlain’s daughter from the Saddle Brook Police Department after determining that she was unfit for duty. A state administrative law judge later determined that the officer, Kimberly Perrelli, should be considered retired instead of fired, restoring her pension eligibility. Perrelli dropped sexual harassment charges she’d lodged against Kugler and others."

A quote from this article.

"The first woman appointed to the force failed to complete the police academy training. The second was the mayor's daughter, Kimberly Perrelli, who was with the department for about five years. While on the force, she filed suit alleging Kugler and Vincent Laurentino, her immediate supervisor, sexually harassed her. She was fired in 2003. In 2004, she and the township reached an undisclosed settlement."

That settlement appears to be that Kim was allowed to retire after 5 years FIVE YEARS of service & still became eligible for a "Ordinary Disability Pension".

The following link gives the definition of "Ordinary Disability Pension"

www.state.nj.us/treasury/pensions/pdf/factsheets/fact16.pdf

"• be considered permanently and totally disabled (you must prove that you are physically or mentally incapacitated from performing your normal or assigned job duties, or any other position that your employer may assign)."

And here is a kicker….

Kim is employed by the BERGEN ARTS AND SCIENCE CHARTER SCHOOL as a SCHOOL SECURITY GUARD since 2014.

Just an amazing women, raising triplet girls, and participating in Saddle Brooks Recreation Department, and a SCHOOL SECURITY GUARD….

Maybe it is time for the taxpayers to ask the State of NJ to look closer at the Pension rules.
