Sometimes rumors are based on truth.

Last week some residents were upset about hearing of a Halfway house being located across the street from Columbus School. One resident was called a liar, another told they were crazy. The truth is, YES, there is a halfway house across from Columbus School.

The Borough of Lodi had to have knowledge of it's existence, but they can not tell you that. It would open the Borough up to litigation pertaining to Housing Discrimination. They can't and would not do that.

The house is privately owned.

Does it conform to Housing & Fire Codes? We don't know.

The residents who live there are part of a drug rehab program called Oxford Houses of New Jersey.

ACCORDING TO THE ABOVE INFO. THE RESIDENTS ARE ALL WOMEN, AND THE HOUSE CAN HAVE 3 TO 6 WOMEN AT ONE TIME.

THE AGE GROUP IS NOT KNOWN, OR IF THE HOME OWNER IS CERTIFIED OR QUALIFIED IN ASSISTING FORMER DRUG ADDICTS? OR IS THERE A QUALIFIED PERSON ON THE PREMISE 24/7?

IS THIS RESIDENCE RECEIVING FEDERAL, STATE, COUNTY, BOROUGH(MAC) FUNDING?

HOW MANY OF THESE HOMES EXIST IN LODI? SHOULD RESIDENTS BE MADE AWARE OF THEM?
