Need to hide, or clerical ineptness???

 Re-post October 09, 2015
On May 15th, 2015 while reading a local Facebook page noted a photo of a "shed" fire. The caption under the photo said "47 Garibaldi Ave."   The property is owned by Gary & Linda Luna. In looking at Google & Bing maps of the area, something did not look right. Seemed to be several sheds on the property.

In May of 2003 Gary Luna (Boro Manager's Brother & employed by the Housing Authority) sought application to sub-divide property at 44 Garibaldi Ave. (owned at that time by another Luna Relative, Vincent & Toni Burke) and add this lot to his own at 47 KENNEDY. Gary now has access to his Kennedy Drive property via Garibaldi Ave.

Of course Gary seemed to go through the proper channels in this sub-division, ie;  Application to Boro Planning Board, Public Notices published, etc, etc. On July 10, 2003 the Lodi Planning Board approved this sub-division.

The Public Notices can be found here:

Unfortunately, the archives can no longer be accessed, so they have been included in the text below:

Deed records DO show the sub-division:

This sub-division is missing from several Public Maps & Databases.

Gary Luna's Garibaldi Ave. Driveway

Records show the size of each lot is 60x100.

•Clerical ineptness or need to hide?

•Are the taxes on this sub-division being paid for by the Luna's or by the other property owner?

•Why are these errors NEVER corrected by the Borough of Lodi or the Attorneys who draw up the     documents and submit them to the County?

Does Lodi really need another park?

Over the past several years residents have spoken about a "Riverwalk" type park on North Main Street. Most residents disagreed with the project, and most residents were led to believe that the project was dropped.

As of late, we have been seeing on the monthly bills, payments made to the State of NJ "Green Acres" program for the "Saddle River Park development.

After doing a little research did find a Public Notice from 2010, where Lodi received
$ 475,000.00 from the Bergen County "OPEN SPACE TRUST FUND". It is not known if the Bergen County Open Space Trust Fund is the same as the State of NJ Green Acres Program, or if Lodi received funding from both programs.

The Public Notice for the Open Space Program can be found here:

http://www.publicnoticeads.com/NJ/search/view.asp?T=PN&id=272/1182010_11850463.htm

Also located was the deed showing property transaction from Lakewood Cemetery to the Borough of Lodi, recorded with Bergen County on 02/17/2011, see photo.

The strip of land runs from the Northern side of Outwater Lane and Main street along the Saddle River to the Market Street bridge in Saddle Brook. There would not be any connection to the Saddle River Park system on the other side of Market Street bridge. So this would be a park to no where.

Does this area flood? Why are we spending money for something that has no real use to taxpayers. If it is to become a recreation area, where will people park? Who would be allowed to use the park? Do we need a permit, like the other parks, just to use them?

Funny, the property tax records shows that Lakewood Cemetery still owns it.
